I don't have a family history and I refused to take it. And I am really upset that some states now are forcing this on our school aged girls and making it mandatory for high school physicals. This is a very personal shot, and our girls should have the right to turn this down. However since were about to have national health care, I guess freedom to choose our health care is truly over any way, and once again women loose the right to control their own body how sad...

After my previous comment, I did as you requested and researched.
Most sites I found were questionable in their credibility.
According to the CDC, it isn't nearly as dangerous as others claim.

There is the most credible site, in my opinion. The other top ones on google were blogs.
I admit, I could be wrong. There could be some elaborate government conspiracy that I am accidentally turning a blind eye toward, but I doubt it's going to be a matter of life or death if I am.
Having taken the vaccine myself (all three doses) with absolutely no adverse affects, and having known most of my high school class (all girls high school, 500 students) took it, I really doubt that it's deadly to all.
All vaccines have adverse affects. That's a known fact. Some have more common ones than others, I suppose. It is worrisome that the death toll/serious affects seen as related to the vaccine is significantly higher, however I do not believe the vaccine should be blacklisted for that fact. Until it is more heavily researched and conclusively stated that most of the deaths associated with Gardasil were actually the vaccine's fault, I'll elect not to believe it.
The point is, however, that people with a known history of cervical cancer or are at a higher risk of cervical cancer should be taking precautions. If that means getting vaccinated, so be it.

Sounds like the wackos that don't vaccinate their kids due to some vast government conspiracy...and then the kids get polio or measles.
