I am a chick but I can answer this from personal experience, I wouldn't count on it. And you may just get used in the process of trying to fulfill that dream. Move on.

Not necessarily, it could mean many things. He isn't ready for that step, he doesn't see things getting to that point, he is afraid to tell you, etc.

That is touchy because do you ever remeber telling your father that??? Do you love him now?? I guess that I personally love him more now that we don't live together. Yeah I would move on, you might get along better apart if you know what I mean.
