Thongs - Functional garment or fashion con ? .?

Now call me old fashioned but in my day dunghampers where a secondary device that caught any poor work by the nipsy and stopped you fouling any outer garments. How can thongs perform this function ?. Its all good and well having no VPL and then having the inside of you white dress/jeans looking like a 747 has landed on them. The drip tray isnt much better either . Now heres the sting , comfortable , large , fuctioning grundies can be purchased for very little money whereas a thong that consists of a flys hammock and two peices of cotton cost a fortune .The fashion industry must have a statue somewhere to the person who invented these garments..... less is more. Ive even looked at it from an enviromental piont of view, less material and so on but when you think of the extra detergents used to clean dirty outer clothing it aint so hot. So thongs , usefull trolleys or fashion con , what do you think ?.

I could come up with a better answer if I could stop laughing to the point of tears!!! LMAO!!!!!!! Honestly, I don't have too much of a problem with women's undergarments, since I don't wear them, nor do I sleep with women. I think Traditional women's undergarments that show VPL is just due to improper fit... however, since every woman is shaped different, and there's no way to try them on, I guess I can see why this happens... someone that wears the same size may be baggy in the rear, but fit in the waist, where someone else may have the bands tight in the rear which is the cause of "Quadrocheek" where the rear is getting pinched by the panties and therefore giving VERY Visible Panty Lines, and each cheek looking like it's being split in 2.. This is not the fault of the lady wearing them really since, like I said, everyone is shaped different and it's hard to find a pair that fits just right. Thongs, though possibly not as sanitary *laughing again* Do at least save the lady from VPL... My advice would be to wear standards when wearing something flowy or not tight, and thongs when wearing something more form fitting. I think the thong is a viable option but I would advise wearing standard undergarments when security is compromised, ie..Menses, infections..et al.

Thongs get rid of those unwanted panty lines, so I like thong underwear, but not thong bathing suits. Come on girls, there has to be some things left in the bedroom!

Con.

They're disgusting. I'm an excessive wiper, often to the point of bleeding, and the thought of having a string between my *** rubbing up against my bloody, bacteria ridden anus is horrifying. My undies are meant to guard my lady regions from the friction of my jeans, absorb my ***** sweat, and keep me comfortable; they're not for giving me yeast infections and spreading disease.

tallbo: I appreciate the irony of your statements here, but - ew. I can't even think through an answer to this one, cos I got lost at 'stopped you fouling any outer garment'.

Uh... wow! Don't hold back, man! :D

I wear them. I like them. I find them comfortable. I have clothing that looks awful with anything else underneath... And I find thongs completely functional! *scratches head* Underwear is meant to stop you "fouling any outer garments"? What the heck?

Maybe you need to find a lady who knows how wipe properly. I've honestly never had a problem with this, no matter what underwear I'm wearing! :D I appreciate that there appears to be some fault in the male anatomy that makes certain stains inevitable (at least with every male I've ever had the pleasure of doing laundry for) - but it just doesn't work that way for women. Sorry...
