Resolved Question

To my Christian colleagues: Do you get irritated with unbelievers?

I am asking this because I think it's quite interesting that each and every unbeliever I discussed the Bible with always tell me that once upon a time, they were Christians, but then one day they just decided to quit God, blah, blah, blah, blah or they will fight you to the death by trying to have more power over you by proving their philosophy of this logic and evolution kick so they can feel more superior over the word of God, when that's simply not going to happen of course, since what we talk about with them is not coming from us, but what God said in the scriptures. Then do you become flustered when they keep coming up with one disagreement after another. I once was conversing online with a secular person for about 3 1/2 days back and forth with him and I mean, it got so boring! Pardon me if I am coming across as sarcastic here, but I just want to ask my Godly colleagues here if they end up knocking their heads against a wall because it's as if we are talking to it.

Don't beat yourself up about it, you did what you were asked to do. If they choose NOT to believe that is their choice. They will NOT be able to use the excuse "no one ever told me about you" when their judgment comes. All folks in this thread, and on EP, now know about Jesus Christ and why he came, and were told about him at some point.

Some foks hearts are so hardened that they are blind and closed off from the truth from the wool being pulled over their eyes (their blind spiritually). The bibles history tells of this same scenario over and over again. Messengers of God give warnings, and people just laugh at the messenger, but when judgement falls upon them it is too late for them to turn from their wicked ways. "those that forget history are destined to repeat it."

We are called to be "fishers of men" and it's not always easy to catch fish you know? Move to another spot, or try changing you bait up once in awhile. lol :)

God Bless and keep up the good fight.

What did one wall say to the other wall?

It doesn't matter, because neither one was listening...

I'm not a Christian or an unbeliever, but I'm guessing they would say the same thing about you and how christians always use Scripture in their defense....

should people not be allowed to have their own opinions and choose their own religion? you have the ability to "quit" the conversation as easily as they have chosen to "quit" your religion. there is nothing in the bible that says- thou mus argue with the non believers over the internet...

No, I don't. I don't try to argue with them or give them scripture. They do not want to hear it. They do not want to listen, so I don't talk to those who show no interest in becoming christian.
Might I suggest to you. Matthew 10:14?

I know I get irritated with those whom you try to work out a conflick or disagreement with and the first thing they throw up is I'm a christian,I'm a christain I'm always in church, but they can't sit down and work out a problem. It makes me feel they are unsure of their belief. Let your works and actions speak for you,and you would not have to tell someone you are a christian or unbeliever they would be able to see what you are.

I hate the fact that you asked to question, SPECIFICALLY to CHRISTIANS, and they still have to bust on the scene with rude remarks.

Yes, I get irritated. Not because I want them to convert, I could care less what they believe in. But, because I get tired of them approaching me on here and giving me a hard time about it.

My religion is not and will never be up for debate. I just wish the non-believers who feel the need to give me a hard time about being Christian would leave me alone. I don't bother them.

ONLY when I'm talking to my son.. Otherwise I respect and embrace the whole aspect of free will completely. I am willing to share my beliefs and experiences if someone wants to hear but I won't preach to anyone. I don't try to change people. However... my son is a little different in my opinion. He IS my business and he is my responsibiity. When he dismisses the core of my beliefs I feel like I have failed him. I must have faith that he will find his own way to God in his own time. But if you have a second it wouldn't hurt to pray for his enlightenment. (Oh, that boy!)

Sometimes it can be a challange to talk to someone who is set against the bible and thier only reason for talking to you is to make themselves feel better about not believing. Not meaning any disrespect to all you who came into a question targeted at a certian group and decided to not give a valid or significant answer, but you are the ones who insite many people to talk with you or argue the point. If you ignore most people go away, but you went out of your way to make a statement, which you are more than welcomed to do, but than you complain when people are talking about spiritual stuff you dislike or think is unbelievable. If you do not like adult movies do not go into an adult movie store, (something to relate to). But if you do expect to see and hear some stuff you are not going to like, but don't complain to the management.

Why argue with 'unbelievers'? Just keep your religion to yourself. Just because we don't believe in Jeebus doesn't mean we need your ill logic whining around us like mosquitoes.

I am new to EP..but i can sense a fight between believers and non-believers...See whatever ur belief is ur own... everone has their liberty to have their own opinion...Allow them to have their freedom of thought..U get irritated by them and they get irritated by u... Just keep ur beliefs close to ur heart..These things are not to be discussed in public and kept as a secret..since u have the liberty here to be anonymous everybody vents out their anger..
Also one should not get irritated by what others feel abt things! Then ur life will be full of irritation rather than love.. Will u keep on whining for why a killer thinks he wanna kill?
See i have not taken any stand..just saying dont bother abt what others think! do it if u like ..its all u and ur world.
