Today my boyfriends friend committed suicide today and im wonder what happens to the soul after death?

I dont want to discuss how this happened for respect. She was very young I only met her a few times. I feel a bit scared to be honest, not knowing what happens. Let's just say I need a bit of closure. Its sad to know someone can just wake up and say I'm going to kill myself today. Its such a waste of life.

I am open to all answers im just wondering where we all go regardless of religion or faith

It all depends on your own personal beliefs. No one can answer this question and know for sure.

Really, what does it matter if there's a soul or not? There's no good reason to think there is, but ignore that for a minute. Even if there is, you have no way of knowing it. You have to deal with the reality in front of you. He's gone, and you have to do something with that.

The best way to deal with that is the same way everyone deals with it, religious delusions or not: they grieve, they remember, they talk to each other to reassure themselves that they still remain in the company of the living, and they clutch even tighter at the people they have left. And when the shock has worn off and the grief has subsided, they go on about their routine lives, injured but not broken.

i wonder what happens too...maybe it is reincarnated, but i am sure the eternal light never dies, it continues.

So sad for her. The people she affects ripples outward. She will never know just how much she is loved or missed. The soul, I believe, goes to where we came from. So essentially it goes home.

You reminded me of the movie 'Temple Grandin'. She always asked what happened after someone died, because they're not there, only their body, but not them themselves.... if that makes any sense.

No, probably not the same concept, but the question she asked reminded me of it.
