    Its called charity and volunteering. Being highly intelligent makes very hard to not see how messed the world really is, so you want to help fix it. Honestly, intelligent people have been also the most compassionate in my experience. Stupid people tend to not give a ****.

    Further - being intelligent typically results in a higher paycheck, offering the individual a bit more leisure time and discretionary money to allow them to participate in volunteer organizations more.
