True when assertive as well as being understanding, nurturing, experienced and loving along with being able to guide another in the right direction take place together :~) Aggressive assertiveness has it's importance within limited immediate behavioral interactions, however rarely leads to long term goals or accomplishments.

Yet it is also true that Passive submissive as well as passive aggressive behaviors and rationalities can accomplish all that they desire provided the individual becomes intimate with the reactions and thought process of others.

It can depend a lot on what you want. Some things you want you will never get. Some things you want you can get irregardless of how you presue them. Sometimes this may be true. Other times the opposite may be true. There are situations where being agreesive can chase things away and being passive and allow them to study you and then approach you when they are comfortable will work. In most situtations some thought and common sense will be more successful than trying a onefits all plan like this.
