Uncomfortable tingly/falling asleep/numb sensation from my tail bone half way up my spine?

I am going to MY doctor so i dont get screwed around by the ones in this town-but its going to be another week or 2.
but i had an IUD last going off i started getting this weird sensation and it almost knocked the wind out of me-i had it removed and thought it would be over with but its happened twice more-the feeling only stickes around for a few seconds-just long enough to make me gasp-i feel the need to sit down when it happens-it dosent hurt-just feels really weird.
what do you think it could be? could the IUD have messed something up internally that we just dont know about?

    well its possible you may have nerve damage I had the same sensation right where your talking about ( I broke it a few years ago) and the pain came about 9 months ago so I went to the doctor got erays and they said it was just sore from what happened 4 years ago so they put me on pain meds and sent me to physical therapy but nothing worked so they did an mri and it was nerve damage so it is even hard to pin point from doctors because you cant see the nerve, im not sure but thats what it sounds like. just be very clear with the doctors about what the sensation feels like good luck!

    thank you! thats very helpful! :) deffinitely sounds like a possibility!! that stupid thing WAS embedded in me ugh so who knows :P

    yeah those things seem like no good I am always hearing horror stories just dont let the doctor make you take crazy meds and do crazy things unless they know for sure whats wrong with you they tend to just try to get you in and out without fixing the problem. hope it all goes well
