Well at least here in the USA we have an obesity epidemic amongst our poor.
The rich pay for their food stamps, so they get their food for free.
The rich also pay for their bus system, which many get free passes to ride. It does not pay for itself through fees.
The rich pay for many of the poors housing.
All of that is fine in a society where people strive to be self sufficient, but in the USA there are too many content to live on the little bit of free stuff they get.

Don't the rich walk mostly in health clubs on machines? You don't see many well-off people on the street around here. I think they are probably afraid to leave their homes and cars.

And yet those so called economic "experts" think that the developed countries's economies need to grow forever and that we need to increase our consumption (i.e. enslave more people in Asia and Africa) to get jobs for all of us! According to those fellows: helping the poor = Stalinism.

yep a very strange world.... theres tons of food wasted everyday & people especially hotels & restaurants, supermarkets would rather throw it out than sell it off cheap or give it away for free..... yet theres people starving?? doesnt make sense to me........ im sure there is a more better system than this theres gotta be a way where it could be distributed around more evenly & fairly so that theres no such thing as starvation anymore??

We live on a planet where people starve themselves to get very thin, and we live on a planet where people starve because they don't have food. We live where some cultures force feed their girls to make them fat so they will be considered beautiful, and we live on a planet where young girls binge and vomit their food up again to be slender. We waste enough food to feed everyone on the planet, and yet there is starvation.
Weird weird world.

If the rich would just do what they are supposed to do, have a heart for the less fortunate, then there would be less trouble in this World. It is all over the Bible, give a 10th of what you have to the needy. It couldn't be more clear.

When it comes to distribution, an unhampered market-based price system would be the most efficient rationing tool that would ensure people who really needed a product could in fact be able to get the desired product, or find a way to earn enough money to be able to get the desired product at a later date. Public-rationing systems are prone to corruption, over-use, and poor maintenance.
