Assault rifle with bayonet, shotgun for backup in case of ammunition shortage (easier to make your own buckshot than bullets) and machete for last resort.
Some sort of clear plastic visor and those sleeves dog handlers use would probably be good too.Like (2)

How would you even LIFT a sword made of solid gold? Let alone cut anything with it (though I suppose momentum would be on your side there...)
