Were you right when you said you'd never need Calculus in your adult life?

What usless things did you learn at school? :/

I actually have used every piece of math I ever learned, just about, in my adult/professional life, much to my chagrin. But what sets me apart from my peers is all the time I spent in creative courses, developing my imagination. So in that regard, everything I have learned has factored into my existence in one way or the other.

no i ended up using it 8 yrs after i left shcool i started an electrical traineeship and was shocked to find out how much of it involved maths

I never said it. One place - if one learned it - calculus has a place for many people is in figuring mortgage payments and projecting what percent of a payment made years from now will be.
Really advanced options traders use partial derivatives [don't you love it when I talk dirty?] when pricing as in the Black-Scholes equations.
If UR not just waiting for the crash, it can be used for certain car races. Acceleration is the derivative of speed which is the derivative of location, so it is second order. But you knew that , right?
