I think that's just the tip of the iceberg, people feel ineffective, In situations like this, there is a long period prior to the riot of feeling that you're not in control of your own life. It may either be financial, like unemployment or a low-paying job, or political, they basically don't feel respected or that they're making a difference. I think the rioting made them feel empowered, was it the right answer, definitely not but when people feel as if they aren't being heard they lash out.

Cameron is 100% correct. The welfare state hasn't helped either.

You're asking the wrong people. White middle class are not going to know the answer - no matter how smart they sound.
look through history and things like this just happen - life is one continuous cycle of certain events. sometimes there isnt an answer to everything. sh*t just happens.

He cut their benefits and made them get out and look for jobs. They have all been used to a cushy life style supported by the Labour Goverment.
