The best advice the elderly can give to the youth of this world is to RESPECT each other and yourself.

When everybody begins to respect each other than the world will be a happier, healthier, cleaner environment for all generations to follow

To treat people the way that you would want to be treated. To never miss the opportunity to let those you love, know that you love them. To know that there will be many mistakes made, but there are lessons to be learned in making them. To always be true to yourself. To know that happiness comes from within. To know that everyday there is an opportunity to make someone feel a little bit better about themselves. To give a smile, a hug, a hand to those you pass on the street. And to know that not everyone will agree with you no matter what you do, so just do whats best for you. Last but not least, know that you are never alone and enjoy your journey on this road we call life.

Hi RickLawrence
get your haircut, get a job, stop playing your music so loud, talk properly and don't talk back.
That is what I have been told anyway!

in a relationship with children involved, make sure you don't put your children before your significant other. your children will leave, but your lover will be there forever.

when you cross the street, look on you left until you reach half way, then look on your right until you reach the other side.

I'm not elderly per se, though the advice I would give:

You'll be working for the next 50+ years. Choose a career that you'd be willing to do for very little money, something that's a passion, that makes you feel fulfilled. Be willing to move away from those you know and explore all your options.

You'll feel more successful if you live a happy life. Life's better when it's an adventure rather than a chore.

Don't do to others that you don't want done to yourself... very much the same as Treat people the way that you would want to be treated.

Today's despair may be tomorrow's blessing in disguise. This epigram has proved to be true for me so many times. Don't ever allow despair to overcome you. Get up every day and push yourself forward. Then, one day, you will say, I can't believe I ever worried about that issue.
