Didn't know he was on trial. So it means nothing to me and won't impact my life at all.

mixed feelings. he probably got what he deserved. however, he was a western puppet who we propped up for decades, then threw under the bus. a fairly benevolent dictator, in comparison to so many of our allies.
his allies are complicit in his crimes. if he and his country would agree i think we owe it to him to broker some kind of exile deal.Like (1)

I would agree, but when the hand writing was on the wall he chose to have innocent people killed in large numbers just to hold on to power. That's what he was convicted of, wasn't it?Like (1)
