Its all about the inches sometimes the Lbs do not come off right away but how our clothes fit and how we feel let us know we are on the right track. Let that motivate you and keep on going.

I've found calling foods by their nutrional value instead of their name helps me a lot. Instead of cake I call it a slice of fat and sugar, instead of pasta I call it carbohydrate etc etc etc. All of a sudden junk food seems way less appealing when it's referred to as a plate of carbs and saturated fat as opposed to a plate of french fries! It helps me anyway.
proper potion size meals and your daily routine of work and house cleaning should do the rest..
