Lucky Charms are not really "magically" delicious. Just full of sugar.
Hahaha, this made me laugh. :)
My dreams are shattered!
I wish people would recognize that Africans captured, sold, and kept one another as slaves for centuries before they ever sold them to white people. Not to mention that they still do it today. Go get your reparations from them.
African slavery was nothing like the brutality of the western version.
Western slavery is nothing like the roving bands of murderers that still move around African nations killing other tribes for no reason beyond cultural hate.
African slavery was worse than western slavery, seriously.
EXCUSE ME!? i am a happy frican and BTW we are NOT captured sold as slaves. get your freaking facts straight please
I don't think Germany should have been made to pay reparations either. And yes, there were members of Hitler's cabinet whose ancestries were subtly altered so as to remove their Jewishness from the record. As for issues, each country should try to fix their own problems. The constant aid is just fish given to those who should learn to fish on their own.
Take it up with China and their lax laws on child labor.
Alot of cultures/societies had some form form of slavery but nothing was a severe as the western version
Human trafficking is huge all over the world. There are no crooked facts in my comment.
Japanese sex slaves were marched and raped en masse. I'd rather work in a field all day than be gang raped.
Could you provide a source or citation for your contention that African slavery was different from western slavery?
In this area, they were killed, shipped off, or sacrificed.
They usually sold them and still today as soldiers tho rather than slaves and they still kidnap kids today to fight in wars too.
Please explain what good slavery is.
Because slaves were liberated in 1865 when the Civil War ended. the victims and the perpetrators are long dead. The perpetrators and the victims of the Holocaust were still alive when reparations were made. It is not hypocritical.
War happens. Money doesn't bring back the dead. Only the UK ever paid back their war debt to the US so what right do they have to demand other countries pay money?
That Israel robbed an entire people from their land and established itself on which it never belonged. That the American Rachel Corrie which had been killed in Gazza years ago just believed in that and still the world doesn,t listen.
You are aware that it was Britain that controlled so-called Palestine at the end of WWII and gave it to European (largely) Jews to found Israel and that the so-called Palestinians are really expatriate Jordanians, aren't you?
Palestine is an Arabian country, it was FIRST inahbited by the Phoenicians 2600 BC"they are Arabs you may know for the first time"".Are you denying the Christian"Crusaders" and the Islamic existence in PALESTINE "including Mamluks and Ottomans" for prolonged years.and clinging on your radical and racist notions ? we all know that History is made by the strongest side and that helped the SO-CALLED israel to be a bug on the Arabian body. you are aware of that, aren,t you?
do you notice that Arabs were there before the silly bargains you talked about even poped up and that Syria, Jordan, Palestine, Iraq,... were one union dominated by the Islamic leaders? and are you proud that the land were bought or given whatever for exploitative selfish mean reasons just to found a basis for crimes and massacurs in Plestine, the land on which Jesus rests in peace?
BTW Palestine and Jordan are historically twins both have the same accent and I dont see a problem if what you said was right .
Israel has always belong there as it was Moses and Abraham who were instructed by GOD to settle there and each of the twelve tribes of Israel. Just because the arabs took it from the greeks who took it from the romans who took it from the jews has never meant it belonged to the arabs at all....And there never was a so-called Palestinian people until that terrorist arafat started the PLO movement and even arafat declared there was no palestinian people in 1967....learn your history and facts and stop believeing the lies you have been force fed
since Islam was never founded until the late 1400's? how could they even have been there during moses's time when Israel was founded?
I,m sorry for you man,I even cant acknowledge the history that supposes the so-called Israel to be there between all these Arabs, couldn,t say welcome cause it is a NO for me to criminality, had you given up on your inner grudges you would have opened up your eyes more on the basic goal of my reply., please try to get rid of your bias for at least once in your life or may I ask you to read more about The Israeli massacres in Palestine " the rich history of violence and destitution that the lovely ISRAEL marked "........ this is the first time I recall what Confucius once said"History is bunk".,.. you won my empathy although I noticed how relaxing on me your words were.
oh man, Islamic people were not at the time of Moses because at least they would not allow Pharaoh to opress and torture the Israeli and killing the Israeli boys even as they are in their mothers wombs in an efforts to prevent Moses from coming to life as a saviour"""" Islam is love and respect though you can see how Israeli troops and tanks are messing up there now...this is first. Second try to distinguish between Arabs and Islams, Arabs were the first to inhabit that land even before the Islamic existence. After Arabs the Hebrews tribes came to live till the Assyrians evicted them. Then we have Persia, Roman, Islamic"""Which impacted the whole area with the Koran ARabian language in so different way of the initial alphabet of the Phoenicians"""" and finally the Ottman.....in 1917 when the Uk promised to sell Palestine to the Jews after the vast majority of people in Palestine were either Christians or Islams because the countries nextdoor were dominated by Arabs and that what hostorically had given Palestine the Arabian Identity.Even people there now speak Arabic although they are shared with their land after a long series of secret agreements and promises and land selling" Israeli people now mostly came from the immigration you may know and they,re not the same who were during Mose,s time, poor them they were forced to come and now their young guys fight for no thing they believe in
It's really sad how little people know of the true history of that region. I'd give up Colonattus mate, you're not going to change any minds. I at least agree with you.
Thank you my friend, we learn from history that we don,t learn from history, thanks for the healthy mind-set that drove you to feel the authenticity of my explanation.
The Holocaust really did happen and so did the Civil War. For some strange reason there are people running around doubting that they ever occurred.
You got that right. I am always stunned by those that think it never happened.
All Internet geeks and science nerds should know this by now, but for those out there who aren't geeks and nerds: it would appear that Thomas Edison is merely a dirty plagiarizing salesman, and Nikola Tesla is the real brains behind, oh, pretty much everything. If Tesla had been given more of the credit and resources given to Edison, the world today would probably be a more advanced and efficient place.
lol actually that is right but they thought he was nuts after he said he made a bomb with his Tesla coil on steroids so everyone ignored anything else he made and invented.
Or you could say he was supported in so far as his inventions were going to make the power elite more wealthy... and he was sidelined when he insisted in pushing into territory that would disenfranchise energy monopolies.
So true, he was smarter and better looking too. I heard that many of Edison's inventions were actually invented by his assistants or something similar, not too sure on this though I would have to look it up.
Such a shame how the desire for money has made mankind so much less efficient and less advanced. Now, if we were robots all interconnected via a network of information, but could still maintain our individual platforms and personalities, we'd be much better off.
That Christopher Columbus did not discover America.. never even saw it. All he did was sail around the Bahamas for a few weeks. That and the fact that Leif Ericsson was there 400 years earlier and that British fishermen had fish salting going on in the Hudson bay 100 years before any attempt at establishing a colony there took place and that sailing to "American" waters to fish was pretty standard practice at the time.
actually he may not have discovered that but besides the vikings and prolly the Asians the rest of the world*Europe* thought the Earth was flat and he went to prove that theory wrong and he landed in the Bahamas but he wasn't even the first to sight it but he wanted the reward for himself and thats why Indians are called Indians cuz they thought they made it to India at first but he led 3 more voyages to try to colonize it and thats why its primarily Spanish down there cuz he could only get the Spanish to help him with his voyage in the first place.
@stephy - Pretty much everyone knew the world was not flat well before Columbus that is another historical fallacy attributed to Columbus, Columbus was using maps that showed/demonstrated the curvature of the Earth. At the time the Church was saying it was flat out of Doctrine and everyone just nodded their heads to avoid an argument despite the obvious fact that ships disappear when they sail over the horizon.. they don't "fall off the Earth". In Columbus's time, the techniques of celestial navigation, which use the position of the sun and the stars in the sky, together with the understanding that the Earth is a sphere, had long been in use by astronomers and were beginning to be implemented by mariners" - Navigation Museum, Institute of Navigation.
The Indians are called Indians because Columbus was trying to go for an West- East passage to India and thought he'd got there despite a lot of people in Europe telling him it was impossible because "There's all this land in the way".. he went anyway, thought he'd got there and was so pig headed he refused to accept the evidence of his own eyes.According to historian Edmund Morgan: "Columbus was not a scholarly man. Yet he studied these books, made hundreds of marginal notations in them and came out with ideas about the world that were characteristically simple and strong and sometimes wrong, the kind of ideas that the self-educated person gains from independent reading and clings to in defiance of what anyone else tries to tell him."
I don't doubt that
That God commited genocide a few times.. Just.. Just putting that out there.
The Civil war was not about slavery it was about states rights to govern themselves within the union. Slavery just happened to be the debate to come up... And then Lincoln used it in his political maneuvering. Note he also freed all the slaves in the SOUTH to hurt the south. The northern slaves were not freed until sometime latter. Also most slaves (while they were slaves and that is abhorrent) were not treated as badly as films portray. They were property (again abhorrent) but most people wouldn't abuse them just 'cause there's a large investment there. There were some horrible places like that where slaves were abused but it wasn't as prevalent as movies make it out to be.
Lincoln himself also had slaves and didn't let them go until he died and it was in his will to let them go
Lincoln was hated not only by Southerners, but also by Northerners and by other members of the Republican party. He faced opposition on all sides and still stood against slavery. That's bravery.
Its also a flagrant crock of absolute bullsh*t!
Lincoln knew the huge abolition movement in
the U.S. would soon get slavery abolished so
he used it to get reluctant Yankees to support
an illegal war against his own countrymen. It
wasn't "bravery", it was political cowardice using
negroes just like Elites have used Obama to
further put down blacks.
Plus the fact that Lincoln kept slaves himself of course...
Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 whatsoever and had no WMD's either.
That many of the stars `shining` at night are no longer there, what we see is their light still travelling towards us.
When we see stars shining we're looking millions and millions of years into the past most of the time^^
I was born on 4 march 1995
I did not know that.
see that's y i want to tell
That the ninja and samurai actually hated each other... I wish people wouldn't use the two terms interchangeably, they were two completely different groups.
I didn't even know ppl didn't know that obvious and simple fact.
That the Crusades was not naked agression. It was in respsonse Muslims invading Europe and committing genocide.
Yoko didn't break up the Beatles
That some wealthy Wall Street tycoons plotted a coup d'etat against FDR in the 1930's, but a USMC general took the information to his Commander-in-Chief (FDR), and the conspiracy was foiled.
It's one of those things we never seem to hear in American history classes or read in American history textbooks. I'd bet we'd hear and read about it if the plotters had been a bunch of poor folks.... Probably have entire units dedicated to it with timelines, posters, the lot...
YES! that USMC General was Smedley Butler,
and one of those wealthy Wall Street tycoons was noneother than Prescott Bush, GHW Bush's father
and GW Bush's grandfather!
doesn't surprise me the rich bastards
This is usually true, such things don't generally make it history classes today, however my teacher went ahead and taught us this my senior year despite the fact that it was not one of the required state standards, which in my opinion can be somewhat restrictive.
Living in the "Bible Belt", one routinely hears and reads about how we're failing as a "Christian" nation. While one can understand the point they are trying to make, it is diminished by the fact that the United States of America was not established as a Christian nation. The First Amendment to the Constitution states, in part: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof ...." Simply, in this country, you have the right to worship (or not) as you please.
Something that came to mind as I write this is the almost universal use of a Christian reference in prayer at public events. Using "in Jesus' name" to close a prayer makes what might have been an all-inclusive prayer a Christian proclamation. At last count, for those who claim a church affiliation, we might be a "predominately Christian" nation. But, of the thousands of people in a stadium or any facility, what percentage might be Jewish, Muslim or any number of other faiths for whom Jesus is a historical figure, but not Deity?
While Richard Nixon was a paranoid fool, he was also the most effective and decisive president we've had since FDR
That the Romans were responsible for the killing of Christ. The Jewish people had a choice, but they didn't initiate it.
It's the Romans fault for everything>.<
They're were 2 other ppl other than Jesus Christ that the Romans had up on the crosses and they let the ppl choose which one to kill and the ppl chose Christ and the Romans at that time were killing everyone that went against them and their rule and religion and they always killed them on crosses Jesus was not the only one to die on a cross they actually killed millions of people that way.
