What are some myths and legends about mermaids?
i did search it but all i really came up with is that they use their voices to lead sailors to their death and then the one about them granting wishes.... thought that was the golden fish but ay guess they are both fish in a way lol, anyway i was just wondering what you have heard about them.

i heard that there are other creatures who are opposed to mermaids physically, with a fish head on a women's body. when a sailer dates a mermaid then he has to agree to have a date with the mermaid's opposed sister and most sailors find that scary. maybe thats why essendon's pop told him not to date one!

My pop allways told me never to date one. He didn't really say why. He just said he could never find it.
