LORD OF THE FLIES. But you're probably best relying on your own common sense and experiences.

I only read one (guess that makes me a bad parent!), and thought it was excellent. The title is "The Good Son" by Michael (last name starts with a G) Helped me as a female, understand what is going on in a boys mind and body and what behavior is normal for a boy and what behavior may be a red flag. For me, it was comforting to know I didn't have to look for the 666 on my son's scalp when he was around 12; that the behavior was normal and this too shall pass with love and guidance.

Nope, I did not read too many either, Remembered one at first, but your answer reminded me of the other two I had read.

" The giving tree " . It gives a very brief description of being a child and a parent . Beyond that , love your child like he or she is the center of your universe .

There are no such books to teach this.
Use common sense, good humour, lots of love and understanding, and some rules and some leeway and you will do well. You will learn and so will your child, together.

I read one, 0 to 5. Basically you check their developmental progress. As my health visitor once told me, "You are the expert on your baby".

Told you a lie, read raising boys and much later raising girls by Steve Biddulph, more about emotional development.
