A lack of initiation into adulthood through family lineage/community. This may well lead to rebellious or misguided youth initiating each other into their own peer sanctioned group without firm emphasis on personal responsibility, integrity to guide towards ethical maturity. A confused emotional youth masquerading as independent and self assured. They're also at the same whim as we, concerning the perversion of our desires to gratify the economical underpinnings of a materialistic society.

Not every youth, but maybe the ones we talk about and condemn most often.

A frail attempt to put some meat on the bone.

Seriously, reality (fake) tv, social media and the technology to keep in touch. Nothing and I mean nothing is private. OK on EP you can be anonymous but hey if the powers that be want to track you down they can. The expectation everyone can be contactable at all times is a burden. Basically, Chinese whispers following you your whole life.
