Figure out where public transportation is, if you need that. Check out the demographics and crime rates for that city....which areas you might feel comfortable in. Find out how far you might be from emergency services or schools and work opportunities. If you know where you'll be moving, then you can find out which electrical service you'll be using. They can tell you the average power bill for that address, and it's useful to know how much any deposits might be.
