i think best as these three,
but i am sure there should more.
How exactly are these things we obsess over? I don't think we obsess over these, but rather these are reactions to our obsessions.
All of worse is fear, makes life hell all the time.
1.) Money, because it is only a tool and should not be the end goal of our efforts.
2.) Superficiality, because we need more real people in the world, not fake people.
3.) Political correctness, because if you think that you can live your life without offending anyone then you need to crawl out of the hole you've been living in.
There's PC, then there's too far. Some people really do get offended over the dumbest crap. Sense of humor, anyone?
I see it this way: we shouldn't go out of our way to offend people, but there is no way to prevent someone from getting offended. In the end I agree that people get offended over the most retarded things and they need to grow up :/
great answer :-)
Facebook, the plastic surgery, and the Kardashians
Seems more people hate the Kardashians than like them, so why the hell are those disgusting people on TV?
I really wonder too. But then again I don't watch TV...
What is a Kardashian?
Hatred, greed, and indifference.
Not really- indifference, as odd as it may sound, is most often a choice.
1. Internet dating and social websites- I understand it's hard to find people similar to you or talk to people who live far away, but isn't it more satisfying to get to know someone personally and build a relationship face to face.
2. Others thoughts- Most people are to obsessed with what others think of them and change themselves for others and not for themselves. This can lead to feeling lonely and isolated even around a lot of people because no one knows the real you.
3. Image- It's normal to want to look pretty or handsome, but a lot of people go to far. They buy expensive clothes, wear a lot of make up and jewelry, even get surgery that changes their appearance completely. I find it easier just to find the clothes I like and wear just a little mascara and I'm done. I do this for myself, can others say the same?
Celebrities, weight and money x
UFOs, Bigfoot, and the end of the world
racism, bullying and people must learn to respect other peoples chooses like: fetish, language, way they look, religion, language... the list just goes on. Every thing would be fine if we would accept people like the way they are, and this stops wars and insurrections
perfection, materialism & hate.
Cheers its a tough question to sum up in 3 tho.

Facebook, texting, and McDonald's
The gay marriage issue
Fake Celebrities/Reality TV
Fame, money, cars
The first thing the world should be less obsessed with is other people's business. If someone does something that you do not like and it does not affect you, get over it and leave them alone.
Sports. Sports are fine, but making them the primary focus of your life is just ridiculous. People who spend 1,000 of dollars to get tickets to games while their kids cannot afford to go to college is a horrible waste of money. Athletes are also very poor role models and make way too much money because so many people are obsessed with a game they cannot play themselves.
Celebrities. This is ironic, because I am working to become one (at least a minor one). People spend too much of their time worrying about the minutia of people who appear on a screen. Live your own life.
You nailed the sports, something I'm always crabbing about. What a waste.
The world need to be less obsessed with things that cause disputes between countries and things that initiates war. These three things which I believe the world should be less obsessed with are MONEY, POWER and FAME.
Celebrities, television and people's looks.
Smart phones, Royal families and weight
Money, Winning, and Perfection.
