I've never had one, but I know several people who have.

I honestly think though that everyone has to go into it in a certain mindset. I only say this because most of the experiences I've been told about have ended up with some negativity before its all said and done. Not so much during the act, but after.

If you're a couple and you're inviting someone into your bedroom...its important that both partners are into the idea and one isn't being "talked into it." If thats the case its pretty much doomed from the beginning....jealousy ensues...blahblah.

If its a group of people who've never previously been together, I think it'd be somewhat easier due to less emotional attachment. I don't see jealousy getting in the way too much here.

...but if all mentioned above is discussed at length and everyone involved is on the "same wavelength" so to speak, go for it!

autimom	Posted Jan 9th, 2009 at 9:15AM Most of the time this is best left in the fantasy world. Most people (both women and men) can't handle it when participating with their significant other. Too much jealousy. My Mom once told me that bringing other people into the bedroom with you and your spouse is like dropping a turd in a pot of soup. At first you can still eat the soup around the edges, but pretty soon the turd had ruined the whole pot. Mostly, I agree with this silly analogy. There is a huge chance that one or both of you won't be able to handle it. Jealousy and other feelings emerge, and often the relationship cannot be repaired. Rated: +2Vote for this!

j42ormore	Posted Feb 5th, 2009 at 5:58PM We have 3somes and have been married over 15 years. Our first was about 2 years ago and was fantastic! We had fantasized about it for quite a while leading up to it. We lucked out with the first guy (a stranger from CraigsList) who was perfect - he took it slow, was a great lover and had a very thick and only slightly too long ****. Since, we have had great 3somes with him and a couple of OK dates with 2 other guys. We have also been stood up a few times and have had same day cancellations several times. A great, solid, trusting marriage is a must. It is not for everyone. Rated: +1Vote for this!

IT SEEMS TO WORK OUT NEGATIVELY OTHERWISE. PERSONALLY I FIND THEM TO BE HIGHLY OVER-RATED. TWO ALWAYS END UP IN COMPETITION. THINK ABOUT IT CAREFULLY. Rated: +1Vote for this!

SaratogaGirl	Posted Feb 5th, 2009 at 5:58PM I did try it and it really wasn't much fun at all. One of the guys was bi but the other really was totally gay, so it was very uneven. Maybe it was more fun for the bi dude, but he told me it really wasn't because it wasn't his fantasy this way either. The ideal would be where everyone's parts just sort of get interchangeable, but that wasn't what happened. A big disappointment. Rated: +1Vote for this!

The two ladies and myself agreed that equal attention had to go to both of them. I don't mean set and look at a clock but you will know. overman	Posted Feb 5th, 2009 at 5:58PM I've been in several, all with my wife of 17 years. Overall, I ***** loved it. Sure, it can be awkward. Obviously, there are deeply rooted trust issues. You have to know and think about all this going into it. Because of this, some of the times were much better than others. It's imperative that all parties understand each other before hand. There are considerations such as the relationship after wards, who is going to touch who, and who gets what attention. These sorts of things don't come into play in fantasy or *** movies, but they are important in real life. If everyone understands that, you can play well together and make some great memories. Probably not....there's emotional content attached to sex for some people and, because of that, they can get jealous of another, more 'sexy', person that their lover prefers to them. It can get messy and can ruin relationships.... But I guess I’m kinda open to the idea of a three sum, however I don’t think I could do it with two girls unless the other girl wasn’t prettier than me. jjslair	Posted Feb 5th, 2009 at 5:58PM I guess this has worked for some couples, but I myself would never do it. I think that it can only lead to hurt feelings and resentment on both sides in a relationship...even when both partners say it's something they want to do, or are perfectly fine with, afterwards there are usually feelings of betrayal and jealousy, and I think it could only break up a loving relationship in the long run. I think when you love someone, you love that one person exclusively, and that intimacy should only be shared between the two of you.
