What are you're thoughts on abortion?

I'm doing my final essay on abortion for my english class. I've always avoided the subject just because its the most popular topic. Although, I've decided to do it because I thought I'd be easier to write. Its so sad looking through all this research, pictures and videos. I'm not judging anyone but I wouldn't be able to go through with it.

Don't want one? Don't get one.

If you really want to stop other people from doing something simply because you don't like it, then you're an *******.

There is no question about the intrinsic evil of abortion No matter what the circumstance the baby remains the ONLY undeniably innocent party in the whole scenario. Furthermore---by supporting abortion you are saying that human life has NO intrinsic value. If it's inconvenient it goes. How valuable the child is in direct proportion to the mother's feelings at the moment.

Our society is in poor shape if a girl needs to have sex to gain social acceptance---where father's are proud of their sons for "sowing wild oats" and call their daughters ***** for doing the same thing. We're a long way from equal rights for women---especially when a woman will tell you she "had no choice" but to have and abortion. Be scared of a pregnancy people---don't wait til you have to do this horendous act which you maywell regret for the rest of your lives.

This is preaching, isbn't it? Mybe we're not doing enough of it......

I am pro choice but not pro on demand as seems to be the case so often these days.Anyone can make a 'mistake' and bringing an unwanted child into this world can have serious reprecussions for all involved but thats not to say it should be used as a means of contraception as seems to be happening, there is rarely a need in a world where we have such good access to contraception in the developed world including the morning after pill which is available for at least a window of 48 hours even if there has been a contraceptive failure at the time of sex.
I don't buy the excuse that someone is 'too embarassed' to go to the Chemist, they weren't too shy to have sex!
However I do not believe we have the right to sit in holy righteous judgement of other and dictate whether or not someone can choose to have an abortion. It cannot be an easy choice for most of those making it and I have friends still haunted by their choice to have an abortion more than 20 years ago, one of my friends went on to have other kids and can see exactly what it was she gave up on. However I was also young when I had my child and never regretted my choice for a minute so I can see it from both sides as it were.

Being a mother is my most treasured dream.
I lost a baby at three months pregnant due to miscarriage.
I don't know how it is for the women that go to get an abortion but it was the most painful both emotionally and physically experience of my entire life. (granted emotions probably came to bear on the physical pain)
Life is life from the moment of conception the baby person is growing and developing and a unique being that just needs nurtured for a little while before being able to breath and eat on its own. Abortion kills that life, and I'm sorry for the women who have been misled concerning abortions and even more sorry for those whose hearts are so hard they don't care.

well it actually depends on the person. If my girlfriend would have to do it, I wouldn't let her. That's a life in there. But looking from the different point of view, from biology side perhaps, that life, which is inside her, is not yet "real" life, so basically, you wouldn't kill a child, just that "fruit". Don't know how to call it, as english is not my main language, soz.
