    technically, the egg came first. The first creature that walked on land grew into a dinosaur, the dinosaur spread into a T-Rex, the T-Rex began evolving and finally became a chicken..

    Without the evolutionary line, the chicken aka hen, wouldn't have existed. The T-Rex would've still been a T-Rex, when it was evolving, it had slowly formed into a chicken with each and every egg laid.
