Stop buying unnecessary crap. Spend only on what you need. Stop fawning over Super Bowls and Final Fours; luxury cars; designer clothes and all the **** advertisers pummel us with. Cut the cable and get rid of all the Apple and Microsoft ****.

Too late. The avarice, the greed, the narcissism, the power-crazed egos and hearts is now deeply ingrained. It's just going to get worse.

    pernicious
Describes something that really messes you up. Most of the time you can't tell at the beginning but before you know it, it really ***** you up.
Person 1: It ain't worth it bro, you know Prozac is pernicious. Don't take it.

Person 2: Too late, I can't get off of it now.

Person 1: Damn, I hope you don't get erectile dysfunction like that other kid.

Person 2: Too late for that too...

    PEOPLE! TAKE ACTION!

Capitalism is doing enough to stunt its own growth these days.

Working within the system to create pockets of sanity.

We can found Corporations that have sustainability and fairness built into their charters, that are owned by the employees and have built-in caps on executive salaries and are required to use only suppliers that don't exploit their workers.

We can subvert the system from within by using our clout to demand political change, as well as bypass the political process altogether to deliver private solutions to problems the politicians aren't able to tackle.

We can stop relying on leaders to fix things for us. They can't. The system doesn't allow them to even if their aims are noble. They need our help and instruction, not our passive acceptance of their supposed superior wisdom or our fear of their power.

We can take back our power. Whether we do or not, WE are responsible for this world. We can point the finger of blame all we want, but as long as we participate in a system that perpetuates the problems, without acting on our own initiative to fix things, WE are to blame.

Arguments that claim that corporations or governments have too much power and we're the hopeless pawns of their manipulations are false.

Stop making excuses, people. This is our world.

Iceland just finished up a massive economic crash. Lets ask for driving advise from the guy that just got his car back from the shop after wrapping it around a tree! What could possibly go wrong?!

Iceland was just riding the same bus as the rest of us and happened to be sitting too close to the point of impact. it's how they recovered that's the real news.

Patience, natural resources against continuous steady growth. As much as the comparison is ugly....it fits.....like cancer it will drain the system of its resources and end the system.

If you want a quicker solution......I can think of only one. Change the nature of people. The alternatives of mass override (unification behind a single idea) or mass control....(obvious) ....are just as ugly if you ask me. The first always crashes and burns on our individuality and the second is bloody war. Try to find happiness before the next war. It is inevitable.
