What can I do? I got myself into financial trouble which I am now sorting out -?

Wow that is tough....Try to live a lil bit more cheaper than you are... and if you smoke toss that...you will save alot of money...Instead of getting high priced stuff buy the generic ...if you go out to eat....cook at home its cheaper!...Ummm just cut down on the things you WANT...and get the things you NEED! it will help some...But I hope thing come together Im sorry your going thru this...We all are this Whole Economy is going dwn the drain! Working down your dept and paying it off is hard for a lot of people to say, especially those with children. You then have fewer bills to pay and it sounds like you have a family, you still have something. Try to start a social life, or maybe volunteering. It can be very rewarding and can help you to network.

Look around your community for ways to have a social life for free. Whether it's a bar, church, festival, block party, or maybe just go window shopping and start up conversations with people. There's a million different ways to have a social life for free. Get creative.

hang out here on ep. you meet cool people. it's actually a social life in itself. you'll eventually get your bills paid. i commend you for sorting it out. many people don't.

hun, you are NOT the only one going through this, and it is not because some people squandered their $$$ away.

times are hard- pinch a little more tightly, get rid of the internet- if you have a house and a cell phone, ditch one- or cut back your minutes.
don't leave your airconditioner on all night, turn off lights if you don't need them, get rid of cable. walk instead of drive. grow your own veggies/fruits, make your coffee at home. dry your laundry on the line, only run the dishwasher when full...

as for activities, check your community centers, go to the parks, senior centers bingo is fun :)
the library has videos and tapes for "rent" also. join a local sports team. pick up your free local publishings and see what kind of free venues there are to enjoy- lots of poetry readings around local coffee joints- but drink some h20.
