I was the computer geek who 'wasn't interested in girls/dating'. That was how people perceived me, and I think it's how they still see me in real life. In truth, it would be hard to be more interested in girls than I am, it just doesn't show.

I so should have worded this better. He doesnt SHOW interest in girls. Hes not gay, he just shows way more interest in computers. He probably is interested in girls, but hes so in love with computers that i needed some help with what i could do to interest him :) Sorry, long reply

haha i can see where it was taken outta context, just try do things that he does on his computer, an example would be if he plays games on computer, play the games with him, if he uses social networking sites, add him and talk to him, just try to relate to him on some kinda level

Ask him to teach you stuff about computers or computer programs, that way you'll be spending time with him and he'll feel smart. You can flirt away!
