Having visited the Phils around 250 times or more and owning a home there and a piece of land full of coconut trees (and a bankrupt hotel) I can recommend it!

I know in the 90s and 00s, the various rebel groups used to kidnap foreign nationals and hold them for ransom. I wonder if it is still true today.
