You may know this but for those of you that don’t, Lynyrd Skynyrd (although it was a band from Florida) was doing some recording in Alabama and they enjoyed their stay very much. In the song “Sweet Home Alabama” there’s a line about it.

Well first the song Sweet Hone Alabama, and then what comes to mind is how I used to think Montgomery, Alabama would be a cool place to live with a bunch of cool country western honky tonks. But the fact of the matter, after living there for a year is there are no honky tonks, it is full of negro clubs and Alabamians love their negros.
