In the worst case scenario, one could die. But that is highly unlikely. In most instances, it passes just like any other flu bug.

However, if you start squealing like a pig, you should be somewhat concerned.

However, some infections come into your body with no symptoms until its too late, and death sometimes occurs, but then again, if you seek medical attention at the onset of symptoms of an infection, you can get anti-biotics everything should be okay. Of those maybe none will apply specifically to the type you are talking about. Staph, MRSA,Swine Flu, a paper cut, a piercing. I could on, but as you see we need more information.
