Yeah. I buy a lot of German beer. Last year at a local Oktoberfest I drank way too much (Spaten Oktoberfest special brew) way too fast then did the chicken dance with all my new friends. Was fun 'til it started coming up instead of going down.

I lived in Germany for a few years, and I know most people would say Deutschland and while they are high up there, I preferred Belgium beers like Hoegaarden, a Hefeweizen. Blue Moon, a domestic (Coors!!! believe it or not!) Belgium style beer, is what I usually order...maybe I like it for the orange...lol. Other favorites are Spaten Optimater (dark German winter beer), and you can never go wrong with Shiner (Texas)!. i like the Shiner Black, but they have a multi-assortmant case. Also, try some Woody's Wheat (a hefeweizen from Wisconsin) with a hint of clove mixed with some apple ale! WOW

I really like hefewiezen but prefer the German ones. Franziskaner and Hacker-Pschorr are good ones.
