I lost 9 pregnancies , many at birth, most multiple because I was on fertility treatments. I had one, and adopted two newborns through open adoption. I had the opertunity to adopt more, but my husband passed away, and I felt overwhelmed. What started out as open, soon ended. The first my daughter, the mother saw her at birth. The 2nd saw him a few Times, I've heard nothing since. I paid for expenses for the mother after pregnancy. 1 came in one day before she delivered, the other two months before. The legal fees were free, I found attorneys that did adoption probono. It was actually easier than buying a car. Unlike what you here, there re many children in the USA waiting for adoption. Just be open as to who you want to adopt. If you want a specific hair nd eye color, the IQ of the parents, you will wait a long time. Lol

China. The children there can suffer from extreme temperatures. Chinese tend to be smaller in size than many other ethnicities, so that cuts food usage, water usage, clothing size etc.

Not to mention that many Chinese children can be/have been harshly disciplined.

Only con is the one child policy. Some women may not be willing to give up their child.

i dont know. seems to me that nationality is not as important. if i would adopt a child it would be because i saw it and got attached to it.

The country you live in but I would advise you to foster first, adopted kids can sometimes have deep issues, fostering will teach you to handle it and help you see if adoption really is for you. It's also easier for the child and you to develop a strong attachment if he or she comes from the same ethnic background that you do.

It would be life changing if/when I do. I can't have children so adoption is my next choice.
