I loved the part where they showed the defice chart.....He said that he would cut the deficet in half....But when you look at the chart.......You have a short line....Last years deficet......Live #2.....four times as long....that is the deficet for the first Obama year......and he will cut that in half by his last year i offoce....But it is still longer that the last Bush year....So what the hell....Where is the cut?????

And do not even give me....Well he was tring to take care of the Bush Economy.....What did Bush walk into.....A short time after he took office....Four planes were made into flying bombs.....Clenton could have taken care of the problem....But he did not want to...Then Bush had to try and take care of it....And you trash him........We will just have to wait and see what happens with Obama.....I just hope that he does not cause very much damage.....But one thing that I did see.....Looked like all of the ones on camera needed to eat more fiber...They all looked like they needed to take a health dump to me......

He definitely gives off the impression that he's in control of things. It gives a subconscious sigh of relief to a lot of people, who are wandering around in this mess we've been left in, wondering about their leaders in Washington. It's a lot better to me than Bush's nerviness and somewhat petulant tone of voice. He speaks in complete, coherent sentences. That's a big change over the past 8 years.

What's reassuring is the specific plans and knowing what is coming from the White House. Knowing that they're working for us. Now that's a change! I would have appreciated his pointing out that in the 90's we were able to generate a surplus because of raising taxes on the affluent and promoting a strong economy. That is the best proof that his program of tax increases, investments in the economy, education, the working poor, etc. will pay off and reduce our debt. Trickle down economics has never worked.

I think the man is one of the best speech makers I ever heard, rivaling Martin Luther King, John F. Kennedy, and others. Yet, I still have grave doubts about the direction he is taking our country. Four trillion dollars this year. A billion hundred dollar bills will fill a semi truck. Four trillion will fill four thousand of those trucks. Four thousand trucks would stretch out over several miles. That is a lot of money. People don't really realize that the amount of money we have in this country should equal the amount of goods and services there are. Yet, far too many think that the government can just print and print money and it will be good. If everything in the country equaled a trillion dollars and there was a trillion dollars of money, we would be in good shape. But if the government printed another trillion, the worth of everything would be cut in half. This is where I see the country going. Look at housing - look at the auto industry. I am on top of the world right now. I retired several years a go and my retirement will keep on coming in forever. When prices go down (a desperate measure by CEOs to get the cash flow going) it benefits me. Yet, those working folks will find it really rough because they won't have jobs. I say a prayer every night that I am wrong. I hope our president proves me so wrong that I will apologize to one and all. But - I don't think so.

I think it was great and i think he is great. he is a very smart man, with a mission and a true cause. he is for the people and he shows it. he has been working hard to make changes since day one in office. he is serious. the universal health care and the tax cuts directly to working families are huge deals and i applaud and praise him for that. i am happy there is finally someone in office looking out for the people whose backs this country is built on. i really dont give a flying **** that some rich folks have to cough up some of their summer vacation money up to help the people. if it werent for the working class their big businesses wouldnt be able to flourish and allow them to golf all day or sit on thier *** all day complaining about bullshit. Its so funny to me that so many on here are still complaining about Obama doing things to make this country better. Why should we be mad at a stimulus for the people. the last i checked that was us. the last i checked if you work hard you should be rewarded. there is no reason that there should be so many poor people in one of the richest countries in the world. we have some of the richest people and some of the poorest people right here. there should not be that big of a gap. that stimulus money is not hurting the rich folk yet the principal is. the prinipal that someone struggling might actually be able to buy a car too or take a vacation too, sickens you pigs becuase you love the idea of classism and being elite. I hope Obama lasts the whole eight years and i hope all of you haters and racists skeptics go straight to hell!

I didn't listen to it....just as I didn't listen to very many of Bush's speeches.

I wait to see the outcome from it. Just like when Obama said that there would be NO pork in the stimulas package and look, it's filled with pork....

The proof is in the pudding...

I'm just glad to see opposing views, it's means, at the least, that people are attempting to think instead of being lemmings.....

God, thank you for your blessings

All I could stomach was Pelosi being a jack in the box. Boing!!! I think she loves barack.

After a few minutes, I realized it was all fiction so I switched the channel.
