Losing weight quickly is never a good idea, puts the body into starvation mode so when you eat again, it will lay down extra fat, having experienced famine. Cut out fizzy drinks/soda for a start, crisp/chips and chocolate anything with extra sugar and barely any nutritional value. Walk up stairs, walk home carrying shopping extra, just fit more exercise in your normal routine. Eat more veg and salad, less fried food.

A healthy diet and a good exercise plan.Cut out salt and drink lots of water. You will lose a lot of weight in the first two days, because by cutting out the salt and drinking lots of water you will be flushing out all the water you have been retaining in your tissues. After that it goes a little slower, because that is when you start shedding the fat. Depending on how much you want to lose, you really don't want to lose it too fast, or you will then have lose flaps of flesh hanging under your arms. If you only have 25 or 30 pounds to lose, you can do just light exercise to keep your metabolism up. When we diet, our metabolism slows down, to conserve the fat we have stored. the body goes into starvation mode, even though it isn't starving. Your body doesn't want to lose the stored fat.

Stop eating sugar, or anything that contains sugar. I lost 25 pounds in 3 weeks, and kept it off. The best benefit though, is improved health all around.
