What do i say to her?

my best friends mom is having surgery very soon for a cyst larger than her bladder and is leaving the country for a month to get the surgery done. i dont no what to say to make my friend feel better because i no she is scared for her mom since she cant be with her for it and her mom has had 3 surgeries in the past (not for the same thing). what should i say to her? i already said i am sorry and she can talk to me about it, but what else?

The only other think I could you do is maybe write her Mom a little note or get a card wishing her the best on her medical care and recovery and give it to her before she leaves.

If it were my friend, I would ask her if she wanted some company on the day of her mom's surgery and then maybe just watch videos with her, or go to the park, or whatever she wants to do and just be with her while she waits to hear about her mom. You don't have to worry about saying anything spectacular, just what you've already said to her and that you'll be thinking of her and her mom, and then just be with her if she wants company.

Just be there for her, just knowing she has you for support will be a big help.

I think it's enough just to let her know you care and are there for her. You're a good friend. : )

Let her know you are there to do anything in your power and give her lots of hugs - do little things you can see need be done - like errands, make some food, restock missing items from the fridge/pantry - do dishes - **** she won't have the time or energy to do and to preoccupied to ask for or think of

sit down with her (with her fav soda) and tell herthat soon everything will be ok and say that u think her mom is powerful and stong then tell her everthing will be ok
