What do I tell a close friend who was once told that she should go and kill herself?

Ever since her ex told her to go and kill her self bc she was a nobody she hasnt been able to sleep at night at often wakes up and thinks about it. Even tho this was over 2 years ago she still cant stop thinking about it. What do i tell her?

Seriously i have read crosseyedmary's other answers and she is a complete idiot. Your friend just really needs some support and encouragement. You might even express to her to see a professional, it's ok to see them. they do help.. Whoever that asswad is should be Junk punched to do that to someone. i would say just be there and remind her what a good person she is and that she is important. good luck to you and your friend!

That guy must be real low and scummy to say such a thing to a person that they supposedly cared about. I hope you will have your friend read some of these comments so she can see how people feel about people like him! Maybe she will understand how wrong he was and how glad she should be now that such a person is out of her life:) I truly hope she does not lose to much sleep over someone as disgusting as him. purified	Posted Jul 7th, 2009 at 11:24PM It was obviously a very VERY traumatic experience for her...especially if 2 yrs later she is still bothered by it. I would reccommend she speak with a licensed professional or at least a spiritual leader. Someone needs to find the jack @ss that told her that and make him apologize. what a d!ck.
