Be happy you are dreaming! The REM state is most active when dreaming which means you are getting the necessary rest you need.

A vivid dream is a dream that is easy to control. For example your swimming in your dream and then you decide hey I want to dance....you think it and then it happens. In an ordinary dream you can't control much.
I believe in dream interpretation. When I have a vivid dream I am usually relaxed and under very little stress. My mind isn't losing it or sorting thru alot of things.
