What do we call this decade? 2000-2010?

Every decade has a name such as the nineties or eighties. What is this one? The two-thousands?

drix	Posted Jul 4th, 2009 at 12:05PM I think the more interesting thing is that people call this year two thousand and nine.. Will I still be able to say two thousand and ten? I have a feeling that people are going to start saying twenty ten, twenty eleven, which will annoy me :/ Anyway, I think you'd just call it the two thousands, like they did the nineteen hundreds.. edgargeorge	Posted Jul 4th, 2009 at 8:06PM In the 1900's they called it the "aughts." They would say "in 19 aught two, I dug this here well..." Like a "thirty-aught six Springfield rifle," (.30-06) it's another way to say zero. But "aught" is pretty archaic. I'd guess we'll just call it the "zeros," or the "Ohs!" Rated: +2Vote for this!
