They generally report standing beside their body and able to see and hear what those present in the physical are saying and doing, and these accounts have been corroborated. THIS MEANS THEIR CONSCIOUSNESS IS SEPARATE FROM THEIR BODIES AND CONTINUES TO EXIST.
Then they often report going up a tunnel towards a light, and coming out into a peaceful and beautiful place, such as a grassy meadow. THIS SEEMS TO MEAN THAT THEY TRANSFER TO A DIFFERENT DIMENSION.
Next, (in the case of returnees), they are met by a being who says they can't stay there, they still have things to do on Earth. THIS MEANS THERE ARE GOVERNING BEINGS IN THAT REALM.
Then they report suddenly finding themselves back in their body, often back in pain. Thereafter, upon physical recovery, they often have a renewed sense of mission to fulfil some duty or other, often with a sense of greatly renewed purpose in their lives.
To me, the foregoing is simply one facet of the evidence that there is a life / existance after physical death.
It has been asserted on EP that there is no evidence for reincarnation; but that is simply a view held by one who has not come across the evidence. There are several studies published of past-life regressions under hypnosis; and one study in particular that I remember seeing, where a doctor interested in the subject spent several years travelling the world and finding and documenting good verifiable evidence of people reincarnating in the same general area and being able to visit their former family and confirm details of their previous lives.
THIS MEANS THAT WE HAVE AT LEAST A SERIES OF LIVES.
Now, it can be asserted if one wishes, that all this is explainable as mental fantasies which are not "real". To me, it is possible to assert that almost ANY experience we have COULD have been a fantasy - how would you tell? A hypnotist can make you feel hot when its cold, etc., etc., and you would swear that it was "real".
The upshot is, that its up to the individual what to believe - what accounts to trust and what to set aside as unlikely.
Personally - and I have been interested in these questions for decades - I believe we are "spiritual (non-physical) beings having a human experience"; that our physical body is rather like a "biological robot" that we inhabit in order to experience this level of the universe; and that when it comes to the end of its life, WE REMAIN, as a part of Life, the ALL.
Exactly what form that takes, we shall see... I'm not going to spoil the movie by speculating (hehehe!) but there are plenty of accounts of what its like in the spiritual literature. Which I recommend you research.
However, one thing I am sure of - we do have a definite responsibility for what we say and do upon Earth, and will be called to account for these things after death, as every aspect of our life is reviewed.... so think on that! Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, is good advice, I reckon. All Life Is ONE! and so that principle stands to reason. Posted 8 months ago |
