In North Carolina we call them Buggies lol you put babies and grocerys in them...

I call them 'those things that are impossible to push straight because the wheels always go in different directions and squeak loudly and stick thingies that annoy the crap out of me if I have to take one around the store.'

In the US I call it a Shopping Cart, or simply A Cart.
In the UK I call it a Trolly.

I love that there are about three different answers saying "Well OBVIOUSLY they're called X, what a stupid question" where x is different each time... I'd say trolly, only word I've heard for them in the UK.

We call them carts here in the Eastern US.
I have heard them called buggies too though.

It was just a basket in texas, and here it's a cart.

I call them both a cart....and a basket....

But no matter what....They are called a headache anywhere you go...hehehehehe
