What is your idea of intimacy?

There is physical intimacy and emotional intimacy. Physical includes hugging; stroking of the body, neck or head; rubbing with the hands or body; snuggling; kissing; and of course sexual contact.

Emotional intimacy includes demonstrating vulnerability, sharing of feelings and thoughts that are personal, and otherwise demonstrating strong emotions.

Intimacy is something that is shared between two people that is not widely shared with regular friends or acquaintances.

For me, it would be an emotional closeness... share everything and all of yourself with that person.

a light touch as you pass by, cooking together, making the bed, doing laundry, shopping, housework - it can all be intimate when at the end of the day, he holds you in his arms and you feel safe and warm...
