Could try a glass of something, wine, beer, something stronger. Also, read a book, it helps too unless it's too busy for that, then you can always try getting the things in your brain onto paper, sometimes that does it. There as many ways to slow the mind down as there are ways to keep it running.
Sounds interesting...wish I could crawl into your mind for a few hours...
