let yourself loose, cry all you want and then you'll find yourself laughing after realizing you can do much better than him and that he didn't even deserve to have made you cry

stick my finger in a light socket...

no, seriously - listen to music that matches my misery and cry until I can't cry any more.

Then I put on vengeance themed music and smile.

gotta ride the wave

Nothing. Eventually, I just do.

I was just going to post a question about crying and dehydration. Sounds like we may be having a similar day.

I concentrate on keeping count of ridiculous things. EX. How many tiles are on the floor in the kitchen, how many great books i've read, how many calories i've eaten that day... Keeps my mind too busy to get emotional.

Breathe.... Decide not to give anyone the satisfaction of knowing they made me feel like crap and just don't.

Or if it's a toilet paper commercial, movie or something stupid like that, I pretend I got something in my eye and wipe it with a tissue (and breathe)

I think its good to cry and let it all out.. but if its because someone made u feel like crap don't cry in front of them & give them that satisfaction.

It helps to watch funny movies, see friends, exercise or do something you enjoy to get over it.

If I'm out and have to stop it, I take a cold drink, or go to the restroom and pat cool water on my face. But if I'm home and can get some privacy, a good cry once in a while can be therapeutic. I listen to the saddest music I can find, and cry my eyes out. Once it's all out, I grab a chocolate bar, hug the dog, and I feel better. Hope this helps.

I take deep breaths and if that don't work I... this might be a bid drastic but it works for me, I Bite my arm by my wrist really hard but not hard enough to break the skin and when I stop biting its like ahhh believe me it works and the biting doesn't hurt as much as you might think try it and let me know if it works for you too

I don't stop myself. I cry and let it out and move on. Any situation worthwhile and healthy wouldn't make me cry with grief to begin with.

I don't stop myself.. I just let nature be..Crying is natural and once you get over it.. and you will in time the crying will slow down. Listen to music, do whatever makes you relax.. chocolate does wonders for me too. I also had to set my mind, after a break up to knowing life goes on and he's just a small part of my past now.. move on move on move on!

It's always the same thing for me....I walk up to my 18 yr old son, ( who's 6'3" ) tell him I'm sad and to hug me. He always smiles and huolds me and that ALWAYS comforts me when there seems to no comfort in the world.
