I try to take some time alone and do things that I love, self-nurturing to make me feel better. This could be anything from reading, a hot bath, to taking a short trip on my own and reconnecting with my inner self. That sounds a bit like hippie mumbo jumbo, but it works for me!

Best Answer

No a hot bath is always rejuvenating. it some how makes you forget when you relax.

Best Answer

lie down on my bed and stare at a poster on the celling and maybe go to sleep for a while:-/

Best Answer

Whats on the ceiling?

Best Answer

turn-off the world, go within, and meditate...

Best Answer

when i meditate it seems to have me thinking of the same thing.

Best Answer

true meditation is not thinking...it involves transcending thought entirely and existing in a "field" of Being or potential...in this place true healing begins...mind, body and spirit....

Best Answer

Sounds like your talking about being drunk.

Best Answer

nope...try TM...transcendal meditation...good luck, my friend!

Sleep!

Best Answer

Doesn't that make it worse?

Best Answer

Sleeping helps me because when I wake up there's this fraction of a second where my brain is dis-oriented and I have no recollection of any problems and am just happy to fresh and rejuvenated.

Best Answer

Nooo, Many emotional vampires out there. Its like going through withdrawal. Instead of drinking I choose to sleep it off. :)

Best Answer

I agree about the emotional vampires!

Find a quiet place to withdraw too to be alone for a time..

Best Answer

Does that help?

Best Answer

It does for me. Plus it prevents me from saying or doing something unwise. In situations where you’re emotionally drained your judgement and self-control can be undermined. You don't want to do or say something you don't really mean and have to live with the results of that in your relationship.

Best Answer

Sounds good but not sure if it would work in every situation.

Best Answer

True. In the end people have to assess the situation and do what they think is best. There is no one answer for all situations.
