We must learn and learn and learn. The culture of our Age is the culture of learning.
All problems have their solutions.
We are not destined to suffer in ignorance, but to joyfully overcome the most difficult problems with knowledge.
This world constantly presents to our eyes all sorts of difficulties, trials, calamities,...and we have no way out except to learn, to think, to consult with other peole for how to solve them.
In the past, only a small number of people gets the priviledge of learning. That is why now the world leaders give their first priority to education, and most recently to literacy.

Call each and every friend I have and bore them with the details, they are always able to help me get out of my mood. When I used to suffer with depression though there was nothing anyone could say or do that would help me break out. There was nothing I could do either, so I had to ride it out to the bitter end. I have since learned the reason for my depression - sick to death of my job, sick of working and having nothing to show for it, tired of never feeling like a good mum, wondering why I let my life go so down hill, where were all my young ambitions?

I am the sort of person who feels as though I need to escape from everything, just disappear for a while, and the last time I was depressed, I was given that option, my parents suggested they take my daughter from me for a few months, and that I go and be me by myself for a while.

I seriously considered it, but I genuinly believe that their kind offer is what kicked me out of my depression - Suddenly having the freedom to do whatever I needed to do, made me realise I don't need to run after all, instead I faced my life, gave up work, began being a real mum, picking my daughter up from school and cooking real food for her, helping her with homework, playing games, keeping house!

Then I went to college, now I'm studying through something called The Open University, which is a way of studying from home.

I have never been depressed since, and a year or so after this, I even found my perfect man!

What are you trying to change, and why do you feel sad?

You can do anything your put your mind to. I am not sure if you have support in your 'real life', but you have support here - I am sure! You can do it! Do not talk yourself out of accomplishing what good changes in your life you think will bring you happiness. I am sure that you have a lot to offer - and that you will do well! Just keep your head up, darlin', and know that we are here to support you!

(May I also keep you in my prayers for God to open those doors up for you and to give you strength? I believe if he leads you to it - He will lead you through it! He has a great plan for you - and for your happiness! God bless you!)

I let myself get to rock bottom of patheticness then pick up and do something to spite myself.

I'm stubborn and will often do the opposite of what people want me to do, myself included.

"When sadness grips" I eventually try to distract myself. Denial is not just a river in Egypt, its a valid coping strategy!

You must look at your sadness, and find all the reasons [not only current ones] that make you sad. Then slowly one by one, release them. At the same time, changing your thoughts.
