I lost my very best friend in the world when he passed away from heart disease in 2008 .... Still tear up when I think of all we went thru over many years . he was just 48 years young .....

Nothing you really can do ; but to focus on the Good Times / memories that you shared together ...

Life is full of chapters that make us who we are. Once one ends just keep going forward to the next and if they are a true friend they will be in all chapters of your life. Sometimes people are only meant to serve as lessons on our journey. Good luck. Sorry for your hurt.

Just like the poem implies; "If you love someone, let them go! If they return, then it was meant to be, if not, then let them flee!" Or something like that!

I went through that with my best friend from high school. She went away and decided that boyfriends were more important than anything else. She even got kicked out of college because of it. I haven't spoken to her for many years now.
