Start calculating the consequences of quitting today. And calculating the costs of the cleanup. Nobody is really "stuck" at a job ....only the fear of the mess resulting from quitting is stopping you from doing so.

Start socking away money. Act like you don't have a job. Brown bag your lunch etc... Start looking for jobs during your lunch hour, after work etc.... Find something your excited about and try to get the education or a job in that field.

Examine your attitude and be thankful. You're in much better shape than if you had a job like the others that are envious of you, or you could have no job at all. Maybe start looking around for an equivalent job doing something you like. Until then just make the best of it. It's not forever.

I get on EP and vent. I hate my job, only make enough to pay may bills and though I apply for jobs on a daily basis that I am more than qualified for, I'm still stuck here.

Save as much as you can and then move on.

You live your life like the majority of people do or you decide to make a change and do it.

Try to see my way out, I guess. Or at least up.
Budget. Look into school or other options. Anything I could, I guess. Sometimes you have to hang in there.

The problem is that I have a position others would kill to have but due to student loans and credit card debt that I keep trying to pay back I feel trapped.

What is this "position" that others would kill to have? And if the position is so desirable, why "hate every minute of it"?
