What do you think about the country Romania and romanians if you've heard ?

I'm gona reply to everyone:
baskitcase, yes the skiing is good in the winter;
jojowazoo, hungary is a different country and the capital of romania is bucharest;
socklord, yes the story comes from here vlad tepes was one of the rulers of romania;
roberthedrock, i guess media is interested in advertising bad things more then good ones to get audience because romania definately has alot of good things;
orien, yes Nadia Comaneci was the greatest gymnast in the history of gymnastics and romania still has good gymnasts.

I loved Romania! I visited Bucharest and Brasov.

Bucharest is a beautiful city which is probably very underrated by us Westerners. I can understand why they call it "Paris of the East".

Rural Brasov was like heaven on earth and a trip back back in time, all in one.

The Romanian people were extremely kind and friendly. They know how to make one feel welcome. And they are genuine about it. They wouldn't hesitate to invite me into their homes, out on the town, or to the local fishing hole. They treated me like royalty and also like a true friend.

JojoWazoo	Posted Feb 22nd, 2009 at 6:52PM Any documentary I've ever seen about Hungary has been great. The country is beautiful and the history is great. Budapest looks beautiful too. All of the historic buildings and the bridges crossing the Danube are lovely. I'd love to explore that city some day. Is something happening there politically. Is Russia being a big bad wolf again? irishknight1973	Posted Feb 23rd, 2009 at 1:11PM I would love to visit Romania.It seems like a land steeped in mystery and heritage.I know that Celts lived there at least 1000 BC.Later Thracians came.It was then called Dacia and was a Roman province.They now speak the Romanian language which derives from Latin.Moldovan is also based on Romanian.
