There is a tremendous amount of psychological anxiety and depression in the human race at this time, and it is progressively getting worse. This is because society is completely out of touch with what we need as human beings. Our solution to everything is to continue producing more, consuming more, becoming more technically witty, and finding new ways of getting rid of the resulting side effects and their symptoms. Well, it is time to start paying attention to the symptoms, and start tracing them back to their source, so we can understand what we are doing wrong.

As long as we point fingers at this person or that person as being the sole perpetrator of a disaster, we will not understand a thing, and these disasters will continue happening. We need to start looking at what creates these situations and society's role in perpetuating them.

I disagree with this. People trying to use God as their back up for Power. Many go insane because they believe in a God. When it is so irrational. America has used God and is in self paradox the real Anti-Christ. God this and that is a Lie! For Manipulation! And people do not like being lied to and Manipulated by False Gods!

The US closed a lot of mental institutions when it went into a prison building frenzy. The same trend of mass murders committed by the mentally ill has been seen in other countries that first went insane themselves drastically cutting funding for the mentally ill, while spending ridiculous amounts fight crime.

This country has covertly been setting us up for martial law. It is cleaner (less blood) if you first disarm the people. This upsets citizens telling them you are going to take away their weapons. It is also contrary to the 2nd Amendment. The right to carry...

The mind control testing programs that were used haven't been forgotten. Evil powers want to control us more and more. Our population is too big to control. We must be disarmed. We are being manipulated into believing we must ban the acquistion and right to bear " 's. Yeah this is some sh*t.

Are you suggesting that the government or an aspect of it, have staged these school shootings, along with the 9-11 attack to prepare the people for acceptance of martial law?

It is always nerdy white males in their late teens and twenties who are intelligent but unbalanced emotionally and mentally and who do not come from poor families. No black mass murderers. Why is that? Blacks do the gang thing and take care of their own business, but do not become mass murderers. No women mass murderers. Why is that? Generally, stupid people do not become mass murderers. Why is that? These are not poor kids, who grow up starving or homeless but rather have been well provided for. Why is that?

When you look at the profile, this form of insanity seems to be based on gender, race, age, affluence and intelligence. The cause is therefor related to the needs and motivations of this particular group of young white males who have not been taught virtue, honor, chivalry, ethics, nobility of spirit, or how to live the good life. It is about education and mental health.

there is such a lack of care for the mentally ill. Most is not all the government funded asylums are closed and a thing of the past. All that is left is out patient care if you have insurance so you have all these crazies running around trying to self medicate because they don't or can't afford the care they need. Sometimes these people are so dysfunctional they need some one to watch over them...I have seen too many left to their own devices...its bound to happen. Our society has literally thrown these people on their A$$. What did they think would happen....rainbows?

I have family that no longer get the care they need because their insurance ran out on them. They can't afford the meds so they turn to drugs. And some of them are serious crazy...seeing stuff and talking to themselves yet they are forced to try to live like everyone else does....I fear bumping into them and into anyone else's family member who is crazy that is not being taken care of.

Gun Control is harder to deal with, but we do not allow people to have the right frame of mind. Which is treating Mental Health. And I do not agree that more than 70% that the Professionals have all the answers and they need to learn more of the other 30% without being themselves so bias with social behaviors. Sometimes I think the Psychologist Professionals stereotype genre and social behaviors 30% on people that they shouldn't. Pharmaceutical Plants are not making medication to help, but to destroy lives. We have problems with the Industry on this just as much.

Guns are not the problem. Your typical ,mass killer is a young white male who comes from an upper class family. He is a loner, probably schizophrenic, (or at least has a schizoid personality) He lives in a world of his own, and thanks to modern technology, he has more ways to isolate himself from the rest of humanity. Ironically today we have more ways to communicate, but also more ways to ISOLATE as well!

The individual does not know how to handle relationships with people, he longs for a relationship, but he does not know how to go about achieving this. In a monent he "goes off the cliff" and caries out mass carnage out of frustration with himself!

If gun control were the answer, certainly it would have prevented such a heinous crime as this one! Poltically Connecticut is a very liberal state, with some of the toughest, most restrictive gun laws in the country. Another factor in the creation of a mass murderer is the role of the father in the young man's upbringing. In numerous cases, the father does not play an engaging role in the raising of his family. Very likely he owns a business or has a job which entails frequent and long absences from his family. When he's home, he is distant and aloof, too tired from work to get involved with the issues and problems of his kids! The young man has many questions about lilfe, but his father has no street-smarts with which to answer him. My advice to young men on their career path: If you love business travel SO much you have to neglect your family, then don't have kids, don't even get married to begin with. If you, then take them with you on your business trips! I KNOW what I am talking about!

Mental illness I think usllay has a good amount to do with this. Get help when neededand being properly diagnosed. Gun control I think has MORE to do with it. Pass stricter laws ans ENFORCE them.

When we as a society embrace political correctness to the point that we ignore the elephant in the room by trying to convince ourselves that all people are the same and regardless of the presence of mental illness, that person needs to be treated like everyone else. Denial of a problem, treating a symptom and not the cause. Additionally, lack of discipline in children, no concept of action and consequence, and an extremely overinflated sense of self importance we as a society are instilling in our children. If as small children they are taught they will not be held accountable for their actions, that creates adults with no respect for others.
