apple is the best hands down, the most costly also. as far as wifi every laptop these days are very good

I don't know what brand is the best, but it would be hard these days to get one that DOESN'T pick up wifi just fine.

Hollywood has a lot of questionable characters who sell stuff; that's how I got my current desktop computer!

Yeah. Asus is a brand name. Most magazines and testing services have named them #1 in reliability over HP, Dell, Toshiba, Acer... everybody! They have a 1 year "accidental damage plan" You break it, drop it, spill your coffee on it...they fix or replace it! Who does that? You can also get a very powerful laptop from them for reasonable money... and they have METAL cases, instead of plastic!
